Shu Shen received his B.S. in Information Engineering and M.S. in Communication Engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2005 and 2008 respectively, and Ph.D. in Electronic Device from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2012.
He joined the School of Computer Science, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Nanjing, China, as an assistant professor since 2013, and presently an Associate Professor since 2018. Between 2015 and 2020, he was also a Post-doctor Researcher at Jiangsu High Technology Research Key Laboratory for Wireless Sensor Networks, Nanjing, China. Between Oct 2019 and Oct 2020, he worked at Worcester PoIytechnic Institute (WPI), Worcester, MA, US, as a visiting scholar.
His research activity has mainly focused on AIoT and ICT, particularly in the following areas:
1. Ubiquitous computing, particularly in wearable computing and distributed computing.
2. Embedded Systems based on CPS;
3. Various types and applications about Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), e.g. Body Area Network, Internet of Vehicles;
More recently, this activity was extended to Artificial Intelligence domain such as Machine Learning. 
Since 2018 he is a member of IEEE and China Computer Federation (CCF).
