Biography:

My research is generally concerned with the investigation of fundamental industrial problems related to the processing, microstructure and behavior of materials, ranging from metals, to (nano-) composites, for advanced structural applications. My research focuses on advanced materials processing (additive manufacturing, friction joining, laser processing, powder metallurgy, bulk nanostructured alloys and composites), mechanical behavior at multiple length scales, and surface engineering.
