Dr. Hossein Etemadfard

Biography:

Hossein Etemadfard obtained his bachelor's in Surveying Engineering. His MSc’s work was in orbit determination and constellation design for a regional navigation satellite system. He passed his Ph.D. in upper atmosphere modeling, especially in ionospheric modeling with the mathematical base functions. He has worked with the VLBI group at the GeoForschungsZentrum (GFZ) on the VLBI observation and the role of spatial gradient on Vertical Total Electron Content (VTEC) extraction from Geodetic VLBI observation. He is currently working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) in the two fields. They are Spatio-temporal analysis of phenomena and the upper atmosphere modeling using mathematical models and artificial intelligence (AI).
