Biography:
Dr. O.L. Shanmugasundaram is working as Professor in the Department of Textile Technology at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, India. He received his Diploma in Textile Processing in the year 1996 from Erode Institute of Technology, India. He obtained his B.Tech. degree in Textile Technology in 2000 from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, India. He has qualified in the GATE Examination with 83.21 percentile score in the year 2003. He received his M.Tech. degree in Textile Technology in the year 2005 from Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University Campus, Chennai and completed his Ph.D. degree in Medical Textiles from Anna University in the year 2011 under the supervision of Dr. R.V. Mahendra Gowda. He acted as Joint supervisor for 3 Ph.D. scholars under Anna University.
He published 28 research papers in peer reviewed Journals. He has to his credit 20 papers presented in International Conferences and 5 others in National Conferences. He had 14 years of teaching, research and admin experience in an engineering college. He is acting as an editorial board member and reviewer in many refereed journals including Elsevier and Springer Journals and also acting as organizing committee member [70] and scientific committee member [40] in many International and National Conferences in India and abroad. His areas of interest are Application of Nanotechnology in Textiles, Medical Textiles, Textile Chemical Processing Technical Textiles and Fibre Science & Technology.
