Biography:

Dr. Alexander M. Panich is currently a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Physics, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. He received his MSc Diploma with Honors in Physics from Department of Physics, Donetsk State University, Donetsk, Ukraine in 1971, and PhD in Physics from Institute of Physics, Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He joined Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 1993. Dr. Panich has published 137 papers in peer-reviewed journals, one monograph, 2 book chapters, and presented 144 papers at international conferences. His current research is mainly focuses on investigation of nanomaterials (nanodiamonds, graphene, etc.), low-dimensional compounds, and intercalation & inclusion compounds. His favored research technique is Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), and he often involves such methods as Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and magnetic measurements. He is a member of editorial board of two scientific journals and a reviewer of a number of the leading physical and materials science journals.
