Mr. Ruben Asatryan was born on 07.11.1957, is married and has 3 sons and one daughter. He has gone through a very fruitful and effective way of scientific, technical and pedagogical activity. After graduating from the Yerevan State University, Faculty of Physics, Yerevan, Armenia in 1968 with the specialization in astrophysics he continued his studies at Moscow physics-technical high college named after Bauman, with the specialization head of construction bureaus and scientific research (1976-1978).
In the 1980s Mr. Asatryan was involved in the outer aerospace research of space objects. During his work at “Astro” scientific-productive union in Yerevan, Armenia in the 1980s under the supervision of Academician Gurzadyan Mr. Asatryan participated in the creation of the world first space observatory ("Orion-2"), its release (on Soyuz-13 spacecraft, 1974) and elaboration of scientific results.
Later until 1995 Mr. Asatryan was engaged in the development of optical-electronic (including infrared) equipment in the defense industry. He has led numerous scientific and technical researches in the study of the atmosphere and heat sources. In 1994-2008 his teaching in the department of Optics, Chair of Physics of the Yerevan State University was accompanied by the development of methodological and physical basics of the ecological device construction of the atmosphere and heat sources. In 2000 he defended PhD thesis and received scientific degree of Doctor of Physics and in 2013 doctoral thesis and received scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. One can argue that his dissertations were both the basis of the optical-electronic device construction of ecological studies of the atmosphere and thermal sources in Armenia.
Since 2008 up to now Mr. Asatryan is senior scientist at the National Institute of Meteorology, Yerevan, Armenia working on the field of the development of optical-electronic research systems of atmospheric parameters and thermal sources.
