Muguang Wang, PhD, Professor, IEEE Senior Member.He received the B.S. degree in optics from Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China, in 2004. In 2004, he joined the Key Lab of all Optical Network and Advanced Telecommunication Network, Institute of Lightwave Technology, Ministry of Education, Beijing Jiaotong University, where he is currently a full professor and director of the Institute of Lightwave Technology. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 academic articles in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. His current research interests mainly include optical fiber sensing, microwave photonics, optical fiber components, and communications. He was a recipient of the New Century Excellent Talents in University (Ministry of Education) in 2010, the Beijing Higher Education Young Elite Teacher in 2014 and the Beijing Nova of Science and Technology in 2008.
