Biography:

Dr. Rajib Deb, Senior Scientist, ICAR-National Research Center on Pig, Guwahati, Assam, India has made outstanding contributions in advanced molecular biology and biotechnological research of livestock. His research reflects a continuum of high quality basic, strategic, and applied research in livestock health and productivity. He has published more than 60 research articles in high reputed peer reviewed journals. Besides his research publications, he also contributed in several books from ICAR and other National sources. He has filed seven Indian patents and two are granted. He has received grants from SERB, DST, DBT as well as TWAS, Italy. Besides these he also received several national societies’ and academy awards towards his research outputs. Currently he is associate member of NAAS, NASI, NADS, NABS and NAVS. Currently he is working in the area of development of virus like particle-based sub unit vaccine candidates against swine diseases and to evaluate their Immunogenic potential in pig. He has developed multiple diagnostics (multiplex PCR, LAMP, PSR, Lateral flow and ELISA) against swine diseases.
