Biography:

Prof. Dr. Mingyan Jiang is currently a Research Professor at Shandong University, China. As a faculty member, he had been teaching assistant (1987-1992), lecturer (1993-1998), associate professor (1999-2006) at SDU. And from 2006, he has been a full professor. From 2004 to 2007 year, he was a director of Institute of modern communication technology and engineering, from 2008 to 2013, he was the vice dean of School of Information Science and Engineering in Shandong University. Now he is the deputy dean of “China Rainbow Plan ” Collaborative Innovation Center. 

Prof. Dr. Mingyan Jiang received B.S. degree in radio electronics and M.S. degree in intelligent measuring and control from Shandong University (SDU), Jinan, China, in 1987 and 1992, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Communication and Information System from SDU, in 2005.He had finished the post doctoral experience in the Telecommunications Technological Centre of Catalonia (CTTC), Barcelona, Spain in 2007. 

His present research interests include: communication signal processing, key technologies in 5G communication system, soft computing methods (optimization method, wavelet, fractal and chaos theory) and applications, image processing (coding, digital watermark and pattern recognition) and communication network, wireless location and navigation system. He had published over 250 papers in some technical journals and some important international conferences, and 6 works in his research field. Now, he is an editorial member for 6 journals and a TPC member for more than 130 international conferences.
