
Associate Professor Sajid Hussain Siyal

Biography:
Dr. Sajid Hussain Siyal is an Associate Professor in
the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at Dawood University of
Engineering and Technology (DUET), Karachi, Pakistan. He served as Chair of the
department from 2020 to 2025. Dr. Siyal began his academic career at DUET as a
lecturer in 2009, shortly after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and
Materials Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology,
Jamshoro. He completed his Master’s in Materials Engineering at NED University
of Engineering and Technology, Karachi in 2014 and obtained his Ph.D. in
Materials Science and Engineering from the Advanced Composite Center, State Key
Laboratory of Organic-Inorganic Composites, Beijing University of Chemical
Technology in 2019.
Dr. Siyal’s research focuses on solid-state
electrolytes, energy storage devices, lithium-ion batteries, and advanced
composite materials. He has authored over 49 peer-reviewed research articles in
high-impact journals and has contributed extensively to the development of
materials for sustainable energy applications. His work bridges fundamental
materials science and applied energy technologies, fostering interdisciplinary
collaborations at both national and international levels.

generation of scientists and engineers.
