Mahmoud ALHALABI was born in Gaza, Palestine on November 18, 1988. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Islamic University of Gaza in 2011 and 2014 respectively. He was a research assistant in optical communication systems at the Islamic University of Gaza/Palestine from 2011 until 2015. He received his Ph.D. from Erciyes University/Turkey in 2023. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University from 2024 to 2025. He is now an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Yeni Yuzyil University in Türkiye. His research interests include optical communications, OFDM, WDM-PONs, PAPR reduction methods, Free Space Optics, Optical Wireless Communications, and applications of artificial intelligence techniques.
