Biography:
Professor Monika
Skowrońska specializes in research on soil, water, and air quality. Her
scientific interests also include issues related to the impact of agricultural
activities on the dispersion of nutrients in the environment, mitigation and
adaptation practices to climate change, waste management, production and
environmental aspects of soil acidification and liming, and the impact of
organic and mineral fertilization on soil properties and chemical composition
of plants. She is the author or co-author of over 50 scientific publications, 4
books, and 12 book chapters. She has served as a reviewer and an editor-in-chief
of journals and books, as well as a member of journal editorial boards. She
participated as a manager, a task manager, a contractor, or an expert in 12
national and international projects. Professor Monika Skowrońska completed
several foreign and national fellowships and received numerous university and
regional awards. She also has a lot of achievements in the field of teaching,
organization, and popularization of science.
