Associate Professor Youyi Bi

Biography:

Youyi Bi is currently an Associate Professor at Global College, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 2017. He received the bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Beihang University in 2009 and 2012, respectively. His research interests include smart design and manufacturing, digital twin, and robotics for manufacturing. Over the past five years, Youyi Bi has published over 30 high-level papers, led two projects from the National Natural Science Foundation, led one project from the National Key R&D Program of China, and was selected for the Shanghai Science and Technology Talent Plan. He has also collaborated with well-known enterprises in the industry such as State Grid, CATL, and Siemens. He is currently a Young Committee Member of the Mechanical Design Branch of the China Mechanical Engineering Society.
