Biography:

He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Mechanics, University of Córdoba (Spain). He has coauthored many papers for national and international conferences and journals. His research interests include structural mechanics, advanced finite element methods for plates and shells and educational technology.

In the last years, he is conducting research also in the study and modelling of damage to 3D printed plastic parts, evaluating the static and fatigue strength of 3D printed parts. Work is currently underway in preparing models describing the fracture process of 3D prints.

Finally, another research area is research in plastics recycling.
