
Prof. Alexander Kuzmin

Biography:
Alexander
Kuzmin received his PhD and DSc degrees in Phys. & Math. at St. Petersburg
State University in 1975 and 1990, respectively. He is the author of two books
and over 100 research papers in the area of transonic flow problems, physics of
low-temperature plasma, and partial differential equations. He has been working
at St. Petersburg State University since 1975. At present he is a Head
Researcher at the Department of Fluid Dynamics. Also he was employed as a
Professor of Computational Mathematics at Baltic Technical University
(part-time, from 1997 to 2004); a Senior Researcher at Dortmund University
(sabbatical leave, January 2005 to January 2006); an Invited Professor at Ecole
Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers, Paris (sabbatical leave, January to
March 2012); a Professor of Numerical Analysis at Harbin Institute of
Technology, August to October 2024). He was a Chairman of the Sixth
International Conference on Computational Fluid Dynamics held in St. Petersburg
in July 2010.
