Prof. Vladimir Kostishin

Biography:
Vladimir Kostishin was born on July 2, 1961, in the Ivano Frankivsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. In June 1983, he graduated from the Faculty of Physics at Lviv State University named after I. Franko with a degree in radiophysics and electronics, specializing in radio electronic materials science. From December 1985 to December 1988, he studied in the postgraduate program at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (now the National Research Technological University “MISIS”).
- In December 1995, he defended his candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Modification of the properties of epitaxial single crystal films of garnet ferrites under the influence of Co60 gamma quanta.” - In January 1998, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor.
- In December 2009, he defended his doctoral dissertation in physical and mathematical sciences on the topic “Radiation stimulated and corona electret changes in the structure and properties of ferrogranate heterocompositions.”
- In 2015, he was awarded the academic title of “professor.”
- In October 2016, he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation named after A. M. Prokhorov.
- December 2021 — elected a full member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation named after A. M. Prokhorov.
- From December 2009 to the present — head of the Department of Electronic Materials Technology at the National Research Technological University “MISIS”, Moscow, Russia.
- From April 2022 to the present — scientific supervisor of the “Laboratory of Intelligent Service Systems” on a part time basis.
Research interests: physics and technology of ferrite materials and devices; radio absorbing ferrites and composites based on them; magnetic films; magnonics.
