Biography:

Sergey Parshin is passionate about computer modeling and optimization in the fields of technological equipment and metal forming processes. He has worked in various industries in the area of modeling, expert assessment of high-tech technical projects, and competitive applications of postgraduate students. He has supervised two doctoral (PhD) students who prepared and defended their dissertations in the field of metal forming processes, and is currently supervising two doctoral students. He is the author of 180 scientific publications, 1 monograph in the field of production of special-purpose shaped pipes, and 30 patents.
Member of the Editorial Board of the journals "Metallurgist" (Scopus Q3) and "Recent Patents on Engineering" (Scopus Q3).
Currently, he teaches the courses “Digital Technologies in Mechanical Engineering,” as well as “Intellectual Property Protection” and “Introduction to Engineering” at the Ural Federal University, where he is also an alumnus. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, cycling, finds inspiration in music, and appreciates the opportunity to travel and share new experiences with his family. He has a professional reading proficiency in English.

He began studying Chinese due to his interest in the culture embedded within the language.
