Biography:
Dr. Betül Göncü is a Research Assistant Doctor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Harran University. She received her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Harran University in 2023, following her M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering, all from Harran University, Turkey.
Dr. Göncü’s research primarily focuses on sustainable water treatment technologies, bioethanol production from agricultural waste, and environmental pollution control. Her work combines traditional environmental engineering methods with innovative, green technologies, such as the use of bioethanol as a renewable energy source and the removal of pollutants from drinking water. In particular, she has concentrated on biofuel production from lignocellulosic wastes, an area in which she is a recognized expert.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Göncü has actively contributed to various research projects. She has been an active participant in national and international conferences, sharing her research on bioethanol production, water treatment, and environmental contamination.
