Biography:

Ilya B. Simanovskii is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He received his PhD degree from the Leningrad State University in 1980. He received his D. Sc. degree at the Moscow Physical - Technical University in 1991. Ilya B. Simanovskii is a co-author of the books Convective Instabilities in Systems with Interface, Gordon and Breach, London, 1993; Interfacial Convection in Multilayer Systems, Springer, New York, Second Edition, 2012. Exterior member of the International committee for the defence of PhD theses at the Universit´e Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. Editorial Board member of the International Journal “Interfacial Phenomena and Heat Transfer”; Editorial Board member of “Mathematics” (MDPI). His areas of interest include interfacial convection, instabilities in multilayer systems, heat and mass transfer processes, nonlinear dynamics, ultra-thin films, dynamics and instabilities of floating droplets.
