
Associate Professor Qutaiba Alasad

Biography:
Qutaiba Alasad received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering from University of Mosul, Iraq, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL, USA in 2020. He was the head of Petroleum Systems Control Engineering Department in Tikrit University from Oct 2020 to Nov 2023. Currently, he is associate professor at Cybersecurity Department in Tikrit University. His research mainly focuses on the areas of cybersecurity, including but not limited to trustworthy hardware, protecting the design of IC and IP, reverse engineering countermeasures, secured hardware using emerging technology, 3D-IC design, and machine learning security. He is active reviewer in many top journals and conferences, e.g., IEEE Transactions on – Computers and – CAD, Hardware and Systems Security – Springer journals, HELIYON – Elsevier journals, and DAC and GLSVLSI conferences.
