Biography:

Yuxiang Zheng received his PhD from the Department of Physics, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 1996. He is now a full professor in the Department of Optical Science and Engineering, and the Yiwu Research Institute, Fudan University. He has authored or coauthored more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and received more than ten patents. His research interests mainly include the optical properties of solids, advanced spectroscopic technology, and characterization of optical thin films. He was an editor in chief of a national level planning textbook "Modern Optics" for General Higher Education during the 11th Five Year Plan period. In 2006, he became a winner of New Century ExcellentTalents Plan, supported by Ministry of Education of China. In 2012, he became a winner of Shanghai Excellent Technology Leader Program supported by Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. He has served as a Vice President of Shanghai Optics Society since 2014. In 2022, he co-chaired the 9th International Conference on Spectroscopic Ellipsometry(ICSE-9). In 2024, he chaired the 14thInternational Symposium on Advanced Photonic Science and Technology (ISAPST 2024).
