Biography:

Prof. Dr. Nilgun Baydogan is a full-time faculty member at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Energy Institute, Nuclear Research Division, in Ayazaga Campus, Maslak, 344699, Istanbul, Turkey. She specializes in energy, materials science, and environmental technologies, with a particular focus on radiation-modified materials, the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials.

Prof. Nilgun Baydogan conducts significant research on improving the physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials, their modification through radiation processes, and their applications in aerospace, biomedical, and environmental fields. She has developed various projects on space engineering, sensor technologies, and advanced materials in collaboration with ITU and international partners. Additionally, she works on the commercialization of materials in cooperation with universities and industrial organizations.

Prof. Nilgun Baydogan serves on the editorial boards of various scientific journals and participates in scientific committees of international conferences. Her research has been published in numerous international journals, and she has also developed patented technologies.
