She is currently a Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), where she also serves as the Deputy Program Leader for Petroleum and Chemical Engineering. Also, Dr. Tan Yie Hua is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) of IChemE. With an h-index of 27 (SCOPUS), Dr. Tan Yie Hua is listed among the Top 2% Scientists in the World by Stanford University for 2023 and 2024. She received RM 9.8 million in research funding and earned numerous awards, including the Malaysia Technology Expo Gold Award (2023) and Innovation and Technology Expo Gold Award (2022). Dr Tan Yie Hua specializes in sustainable energy, green technologies, and waste management.
