Biography:
Salah KHARDI (PhD
HDR), 59 years old, physicist by education, is a Research Director at INSA
Lyon, France's leading engineering school, and at Gustave Eiffel University (France). He was successively Head of the “Energy
and Air Pollution” and “Pollution and Innovations” teams. His interests lie in
the field of transport (road, rail, air, inland waterway and sea), clean
energy, air quality and environmental impacts. He is a lecturer at universities
in France and internationally and is responsible for PhD students. He
coordinates research and development projects at French and International
levels. He has numerous recognized publications and is a guest editor of
several international journals serving on their editorial boards. He is an
expert for French ministries (Ministry of Higher Education, Research &
Innovation / MESRI – Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health
& Safety / ANSES - the National Waterways Management Authority / VNF) and
for international organizations on subjects related to air pollution caused by
transport systems, their impacts and control technologies. He was also chairperson
of the Transport and Air Pollution Conference and for numerous working groups.
He is a member of the executive board of the Research Ethics Committee of the
Lyon University (France).
