Title: The Dynamic Analysis of Resonant Loop-Based Modulators
Abstract:
In recent years, with the expansion of optical fiber, optical telecommunications have received a lot of attention. In this study, dynamic analysis of resonant loop-based modulators has been performed by analyzing three index modulations, losses and pairing. Considering silicon as the material used in the modulator structure, the analysis of PIN-based resonant loop modulators was solved using structural conversion method, and the three-dimensional wave equations were solved. In this method, for the validation of the method used, the transfer values are calculated and the obtained results are compared with the laboratory results. Finally, to improve the performance of the modulator, the optical structure of the circuit is optimized using the Firefly optimization algorithm. Then, the results obtained for the optimal structure are compared with the results related to the initial structure and the superiority of this model over the basic model is proved.
