Title: DOMINATION IN GRAPHS AND ITS APPLICATIONS
Abstract:
Graph Theory is a branch of Mathematics which has become quite rich and interesting for several reasons. Graph theory is a delightful playground for the exploration of proof techniques in discrete mathematics and its results have applications in many areas of the computing, social, and natural sciences.
Graphs are excellent mathematical tools that are used to model the various types of relation between many physical circumstances. Most of the real world problem can be represented by graphs. The concepts of graph theory and its applications in different field of engineering, like Network Engineering, Computer science Engineering, Electrical Engineering etc. These applications demonstrate the objectives and importance of graph. It explains the how the graph can be used to model many real world problems.
There are several areas of Graph Theory which have received good attention from mathematicians. Some of these areas are Coloring of Graphs, Matching Theory, Domination Theory, Labeling of Graphs and areas related to Algebraic Graph Theory. The fastest growing area within graph theory is the study of domination, the reason being its many and varied applications in such fields as social sciences, communications networks, algorithmic designs etc.
Domination in graphs has been an extensively researched branch of graph theory. The theory of domination has been the nucleus of research activity in graph theory in recent times. The concept of domination in graphs, with its many variations, is now well studied in graph theory. Domination can be a useful tool for determining business network and making decisions.
Biography:
Prof. (Dr.) Omprakash Sikhwal is working as a professor of mathematics in Poornima institute of Engineering & Technology, Jaipur (Rajasthan) India. He has more than 28 years in academic and research and administration in educational Institutes/University. He has completed Ph. D. from Vikram University, Ujjain, India in 2010. His Ph. D. thesis title was "Generalized Fibonacci Sequences and Some Properties of Fibonacci polynomials”. He has been involved in many administrative positions including the Registrar of private University. Worked as mentor of Mathematics, research guide / consultant and project coordinator at Devanshi Tutorial, Mandsaur and Prajna Academic and Research Publishing (PARP), Mandsaur.
He has attended numerous national and international conferences and delivered invited talks and keynote address, presented reserch papers and chaired sessions. He has attended 32 FDPs, 57 workshops, training, STC, Referesher and orientation courses, webinar and talks. He has organized FDPs, national and international conferences, workshop / Seminars / Technical fest etc. He has been in the Scientific Committees of many conferences and FDPs. Total 63 papers published in journals of repute and 08 papers published in proceedings of conference /Seminar, Total 22 papers presented in conferences and seminars (National and International), 03 books are published with international publishers, He has supervised 03 PhD students and supported 8 Ph. D. Students And 10 M. phil. Students for reserch work. Evaluated the thesis of research scholars of government and private universities, Reviewed many research articles of national and international journals and conferences,
His involvement recognized in counseling and advisement, development of library, works of regulatory councils, NBA and NAAC of various courses, career fair and field based activities. Programs / Courses dealt during his teaching experiences are Bachelor of Engineering, Diploma of Engineering, MCA, M. Tech., M. Sc, B. Sc., BCA, BBA and MBA, Bachelor of Pharmacy. He has completed four Certification of SWAYAM / NPTEL Courses.
He has been continuing editorial positions in international scientific journals. He is a member of seven national & international Mathematical and other Societies. He is an executive member of Rajasthan Ganita Parishad (RGP) from 2018 to till date. He was conducted successfully International conference on Mathematics, Modelling and Statistics (ICMMS-2023) as a Convener. He is a member of Board of Studies in Faculty of Applied Sciences (FOAS), Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota (India).
