Title: Digital Transformation and Technology Value Creation: A Blockchain-Driven Framework for Sustainable Performance in the Fourth Industrial Revolution
Abstract:
Achieving digital transformation and sustainable dominance has become a significant challenge for many businesses. Digital transformation and digital technology value development are critical to the firms’ sustainable competitive performance. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how digital transformation and associated technologies can drive sustainable competitive performance, emphasizing the importance of digital capability, business digitization, and blockchain technology in achieving long-term business success. A quantitative analysis was conducted on data obtained from 339 participants through structured questionnaires. The sample comprised professionals representing a diverse range of industries, with a stratified random sampling technique employed to ensure balanced sectoral representation. Advanced statistical methods, including regression analysis and mediation/moderation tests, were utilized to evaluate the interrelationships among the variables. Digital technologies' value development influences sustainable competitive performance, digital capability, and business digitization. Digital capability mediates the relationships between digital transformation and sustainable competitive performance and between digital technologies' value development and sustainable competitive performance. The moderating effect of blockchain technology adoption also positively affects the relationships between digital capability and sustainable competitive performance, business digitization, and sustainable competitive performance.
