Title: Reform of College English Teaching Model: Embracing Mobile-Assisted Collaborative Language Learning
Abstract:
This research delved into the reform of college English teaching by exploring the mobile - assisted collaborative language learning teaching model. A mixed - method approach combining theoretical analysis and practical case studies was employed, with two parallel college English classes serving as the research subjects.
The results demonstrated that the MACLL model breaks the "teacher - centered" teaching paradigm. It provides hierarchical learning resources to meet personalized learning needs, creates more language practice opportunities by breaking the temporal and spatial limitations of the classroom, and its comprehensive evaluation system focuses on the learning process, which can encourage students to improve their learning methods and efficiency. Students made significant progress in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills. They also showed a higher level of enthusiasm for learning English, actively participating in both in - class and after - class activities.
Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the application of the mobile - assisted collaborative language learning teaching model in college English teaching, which can guide future teaching reforms.
