Title: Teacher Training in Italy: Blending Tradition and Innovation for Future-Ready Education
Abstract:
In today's digital age, educators face increasing challenges due to the prominence of digitalization and artificial intelligence. It's crucial for teachers to be well-prepared to address the changing needs of students, by providing them with the skills required for future employment and personal growth. Italy has a strong tradition of teacher training, which offers valuable insights into effective teaching practices to facilitate the learning process. However, there is a growing demand for active teaching methods and innovative, inclusive pedagogies that aim to create an educational environment where everyone is included. While digital advancements and AI present significant challenges for educators, they also provide opportunities that need to be embraced thoughtfully and responsibly. Recent research, involving 1,000 teachers in training, has highlighted best practices and strategies for integrating traditional approaches with modern innovations. Teachers who are well-trained, passionate, and motivated are better equipped to guide students through their educational journeys and prepare them for future challenges.
