Title: A computational intelligence approach for productivity improvement in automated warehouses
Abstract:
Automated warehouses are widely used in manufacturing, warehousing, and distributions applications. Automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RSs) as basic components of automated warehouses are used in manufacturing, warehousing, and distributions applications. In this talk, I address a unit load AS/RS, where one storage and retrieval machine is dedicated to all aisles, and propose a computational intelligence solution approach to minimize the total time travelled by the machine to complete the retrieval process of items.
