Title: Effect of changing climate scenario on Agriculture

Abstract:

Biodiversity plays an important role in sustaining agricultural ecosystems and enhancing their productivity and resilience. Biodiversity underpins essential ecosystem services that support agricultural productivity. Genetic diversity within crop species is key to developing disease-resistant varieties and adapting to changing environmental conditions. Diverse genetic pools allow for the selection of traits that improve resilience to pests, diseases, and climate variability. Agricultural systems that incorporate biodiversity are more resilient to environmental stresses such as droughts, floods, and climate change. This resilience is crucial for maintaining agricultural productivity and ensuring food security in the face of global challenges. By fostering diverse ecosystems and incorporating genetic diversity into crop management, agriculture can benefit from enhanced ecosystem services, improved crop health, and greater resilience to environmental changes. Embracing and preserving biodiversity is essential for the future of global food security and agricultural sustainability.
