Title: Assessing Prospects of Sustainable Development for Education in SAARC Countries: Global Education System Context
Abstract:
My keynote speech aims to look at contemporary education system in three SAARC countries (e.g., Bangladesh, India, and Maldives). I would like to demonstrate how global education system can be applied to develop educational policies and practices with a view to unveiling the real image of teacher and student performance, learning and teaching strategies, curriculum, syllabus design, and lesson plan. My speech offers a novel meta-model for education which is a core element of society and the foundation of democratic choice. The failure and prosperity of a country largely relies upon education policy and practice. Precisely speaking, education must be age-oriented to fulfill the demand of the younger community. They can contribute and benefit from the global education system if they are endowed with practical knowledge, conversant skill, and with the capability and rights needed to pursue their basic human needs. In this regard, I would like to explore the conceptual shifts from Third World Educational Pedagogy to sustainable development of Bangladesh, India, and Maldives to global education system. I would like to focus on the comparative discussion of education system of three SAARC countries so that global education policy and practice can be implemented to sustainably improve current education system of developing countries. My aim is to apply very recent theories of educational policies and practices to foster a new guideline for teachers, students, and policy-makers. I aim to look at the crucial role of global education system to bring about an epoch-making change of education system in SAARC countries. For this purpose, data would be collected from IEA research laboratory, where books, journals, monographs, theses, reports, letters, articles, newspaper, magazines, and internet sources would be easily available or accessible to carry out this potential project. Finally, it can be said here that the contemporary challenges for the implementation in practice, for the conceptual debate, and for the research agenda in the field of global education would be applied.
