Title: Advanced Green catalyst for Green Hydrogen Production

Abstract:

The utilization of Sn/Cu (Tin/Copper) alloys for hydrogen production has garnered significant interest in recent years due to their promising catalytic properties in water splitting reactions. This abstract explores the potential of Sn/Cu-based materials as effective catalysts for hydrogen evolution reactions (HER). The synergistic interaction between Sn and Cu enhances the electrocatalytic performance, offering a combination of high efficiency, stability, and low overpotentials. Recent studies have demonstrated that Sn/Cu alloys can effectively promote HER in both acidic and alkaline environments, with optimized alloy compositions showing superior performance compared to pure metals. The underlying mechanisms of Sn/Cu catalysis involve the modification of electronic properties and the creation of active sites that facilitate the proton reduction process. Additionally, the scalability and cost-effectiveness of Sn/Cu alloys make them viable candidates for large-scale hydrogen production applications. This abstract concludes by highlighting the challenges and future directions for advancing Sn/Cu-based catalysts, including the need for further optimization of alloy structures and the integration of these materials into practical hydrogen production systems Exergy clearly identifies efficiency improvements and reductions in wastes and environmental impacts attributable to sustainable energy. Exergy methods thereby allow rational statements of the potential for improvement of any system, based on the laws of thermodynamics. Exergy can also identify better than energy the environmental benefits and economics of energy technologies. This work used a solvothermal technique to prepare the Sn/Cu composite. At a current density of -10 mA cm−2 , the Cu/Sn composite was proven to have formed through the use of FT-IR, XRD, and SEM techniques.
