Biography:

Professor Rongbang An is with the International School of Energy at Jinan University, where he leads the Energy Internet Research Institute. He has more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications, digital technologies, and renewable energy systems. Before joining Jinan University, he held senior global leadership positions at Nokia, Microsoft, and Hanergy. His current research focuses on energy internet, virtual power plants, energy storage, intelligent photovoltaics, electric ships, and low-carbon buildings. He has been granted more than 40 invention patents and has extensive experience in international R&D management, technology commercialization, and industry–university collaboration.
